Jack´s Family is the brainchild of two crazy sisters, Marie and Jen, who share a relationship based almost solely on sarcasm. One evening they were sitting around being--what else?--sarcastic when they began to call each other names, all in good sisterly fun, of course. It went a little bit like this:
"Shut up, smart ass!" "You shut up, dumb ass!" "I´ll kick your sorry ass!"
"OOOOOOOO, you think you´re such a bad ass!"
"HEY! WE SHOULD TOTALLY MAKE A LITTLE DONKEY FAMILY AND SELL THEM! You know, like Jack Ass, Dumb Ass, Kiss Ass, and Smart Ass! Jack is the head of the family, and the rest can be his relatives!"
Marie is the brilliant artist whose artwork has been transformed into these lovable characters. Her 10-year-old son, Brendan, also plays a key role in the creative side of the company assisting his mom in anyway he can.
Jen is the poet and the organizer of this whole endeavor. Her husband, Alan, is the driving force in bringing Jack´s Family to life.
And so what started out as a little good-humored banter between sisters, and what they thought would be "just a little side project," has morphed into a brand new local company run completely by the real Jack´s Family: Marie, Jen, Alan and Brendan. Who is who? Well, that depends on the day. But, really, whose family doesn´t include members of Jack´s Family?
ABOUT THE TOYS:
Each cuddly, soft, approximately 8 inch tall animal is produced by Creature Comforts Plush Toy and Bean Toy products. All come with its own unique limerick.
Each is manufactured in China, and meets and/or exceeds all safety standards. Every effort is made to safeguard against any safety concern. All are factory inspected at all stages of production and guaranteed to be safe, clean and not use underage labor.
